Reimagined Home by the Sea

This organic transitional design project is a successful study in achieving a cohesive and balanced look in a spectacular setting by the sea near morro rock. the primary goal was to transform a collection of furniture, gathered over years and style changes, into a single, seamless, and atmospheric sanctuary.

our sustainable design practice focused on the intelligent repurposing and revitalization of existing, quality pieces through strategic reupholstering. by updating inherited chairs and ottomans with sophisticated, durable performance fabrics and rich textures, we extended their lifespan and integrated them into the new nature-forward lens.

to ensure the entire residence felt connected, from the first floor to the private suites, we strategically layered in new design elements. statement lighting with organic, sculptural forms was introduced to unify spaces like the dining room and entry. durable, elegant coverings like high-quality belgian linen roman shades were used throughout for a finished, refined coastal interior. the outcome is a home that feels intentionally balanced, natural, and cohesive.
